Playscii has had a very quiet presence on cohost for a while now, at https://cohost.org/playscii. Due to recent Tumblr leadership decisions, all future posts will be there. This tumblr will remain as it is now for the foreseeable future, unless something unfortunate happens.

There’s not been much to report on Playscii’s development for the past couple years, but I will be sure to post there next time I do any work of interest on it, or on any kind of successor program(s). Thank you for making beautiful things with Playscii all these years! <3

Hello! Haven’t been posting much here of late, and while Tumblr’s demise seems to have been a bit exaggerated most of the cool stuff I’ve seen people make with Playscii lately has been on twitter, where it’s simply easier to post and RT things. So check out Playscii’s twitter account, and the #playscii hashtag, for some neat things. I’ve also been adding to an ongoing thread of neat wildflowers produced by the wildflowers generator added early this year in Playscii 9.16.

Oh, and Playscii’s source code is now hosted at Heptapod.host since Bitbucket pulled the plug on their Mercurial support a few months ago. Nothing new to report on the development front besides that.

The Chalice of Visions is an ancient artifact created by a powerful wizard to travel through magic worlds without any movement. A sip from the Chalice of Visions allows it’s owner to glimpse into any desired magical world. The Chalice must be used with caution and requires thorough preparations, otherwise it may trap its user in magic realms, exhausting their real body to death.
The art made using Playscii + GIMP.
